Position Purpose:







To facilitate the appropriate clinical management of people with a mental illness through
the provision of consultation and support to the primary care sector.
To work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team
To provide clinical mental health assessments and time limited direct treatment service to
consumers across the life cycle.
To build capacity in the local community in responding to high and low prevalence
disorders.
To assist the Clozapine Coordinator in providing a service to teams within Mercy Mental
health and GP’s participating in Clozapine Shared Care.
To participate in the development of research activities where appropriate.
This role is offered on a full time basis.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
 Registered as a Nurse with the Nurses Board of Victoria in Division 1 with approved post
graduate qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing or registered as a Psychiatric Nurse with
the Nurses Board in Division 3;
 A current Victorian driver’s license is essential to the role
