P3 to the Burrell Collection
Knights and Castles: Meet Sir Hugo
The Primary 3 classes have been studying castles this term and will be visiting the Burrell
Collection and Pollok Park. Each class will take part in the workshop which introduces
them to Sir Hugo, the best medieval knight in Scotland. Dressed for battle, Sir Hugo will
take the class on a journey back to the time of knights and castles. There will also be the
opportunity to examine the Burrell’s amazing arms and armour.
The classes will travel to the Burrell Collection by coach and lunch will be eaten in the
park.
The children are all entitled to a free school, packed lunch which will be provided
for them. If they would like to bring something additional from home, they may do
so in a named plastic bag, which can be disposed of later. (Not a packed lunch
box/bag)
The school is subsidising the trip but we would ask each child to contribute £2.00
towards the cost of the workshop to make the trip possible.
