COMPETITION STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This Promotional Competition is organised by Sasol Energy (Pty) Ltd and its associated
group of companies and their designated agencies (hereinafter referred to collectively
as “the Organisers”).
2. The Promotional Competition is open to residents and citizens of South Africa who are
18 years and older, except employees, directors, members, partners, agents or
consultants, product suppliers of the price, (including spouses, life partners, business
partners or immediate family members of any of the aforementioned) of the Organisers
and their advertising / media agencies or any other companies in association with the
Competition.
3. By entering the Promotional Competition, all participants and winner acknowledge that
theyhave the legal capacity to enter into the Competition and agree to be bound by
these rules which will be interpreted by the Organisers, whose decision regarding any
dispute will be final and binding. The Organisers reserve the right to amend, modify or
change these rules at any time during the Promotional Competition without notice and
liability. Any false information provided will result in a disqualification.
4. The Competition shall commence on 14 May 2015 till 24 June 2015, both days
inclusive (“Competition Period”). The Competition closes at 23:59 on 24 June 2015. All
entries must reach Sasol before then and no late entries shall be accepted.
5. Participants stand a chance of winning a WHITE VW Polo 1.2 TSI (“the Prize”) . Sasol
will not be responsible for insuring the vehicle or any additional costs relating to the up
keep of the vehicle (This includes but not limited to, vehicle registration, top-up cover
insurance, security amendments etc.). The winner of the Prize must be in possession of
a valid driver’s licence.

6. In order to qualify as an entrant:
a. the entrant must live in the Republic of South Africa;
b. only individuals can participate in this Competition and will be entered into the draw
and companies will be excluded;
c. The entrant must buy any promotional combo offer at Sasol Convenience Centre,
Sasol shop & selected Exel shops during the Competition and complete the entry
form and drop it in the entry box in the store to stand a chance to win a WHITE VW
Polo 1.2 TSI (“the Prize”)

7. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish, so long as they
purchase any promotional combo offer at Sasol Convenience Centre, every time and
must retain all their till slips as proof of purchase.

8. The draw for the Competition will take place on 10th July 2015. The winner will be
randomly chosen from all qualifying entrants by a registered auditor and lucky draw to
take place on at the premises of Sasol, situated at 32 Hill Street,Randburg. The
participant whose name is drawn first will be declared the winner of the VW Polo 1.2
TSI. The judges’ decision shall be final and binding and no further correspondence shall
be entered into.
The Prize winner will be contacted telephonically on the draw date.
In the event that the winner cannot be contacted after 3 tries then the Organisers
reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible winner.

9. The Organisers may require the winner (at no fee) to be identified. A winner has the
right to refuse the use of his/her image in marketing material or may refuse to
participate in any marketing activity.
10. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash or any other prize. The
Organisers reserve the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable
commercial value. The prize cannot be transferred and will only be handed over if all
details given are factually correct. Sasol Energy Pty Ltd is not liable for taking out
motor vehicle insurance from the day that the winner receives the car.
11. The Organiser will require the winner to complete and submit an information disclosure
document to enable the Organiser to ensure compliance with these rules and the
provisions Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable
to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the
Prizes and it shall revert back to the Organiser.

12. If prizes are not claimed within a period of 3 months, the Organiser reserves the right
to award the prize to the reserve winner drawn.
13. All participants and winners and/or their legal guardians, as the case may be,
indemnify the Organisers, their advertising agencies, its affiliates and/or associated
companies against all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from
their participation in any way in this Promotional Competition (including, as result of
any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise on the part of the Organisers).
14. If the prize winner has given his written consent, Sasol have the right to publish the
winner's name and photographs (at no fee) in any advertising, promotional, print, and
point-of-sale or public relations material. The nature of these publications will be
determined at the sole discretion of Sasol, for a period of twelve (12) months from the
date of the lucky draw.
15. If the Organiser cannot continue with the Promotional Competition for any reason
beyond their reasonable control or if they are required by any regulatory terms or
applicable law, the Organiser may end the Promotional Competition on condition that:
a. no prize winners have been determined; and
b. reasonable notice has been given beforehand to all entrants.
16. The Organisers reserve the right to amend or alter the Standard Terms and
Conditions of the Competition at any time.
17. A winner will be required to sign acknowledgement receipt of the Prize
