COMPETITION STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This Promotional Competition is organised by Monster Energy Europe Limited. For full
terms and conditions visit www.monsterenergy.com (hereinafter referred to collectively
as the Organisers).
2. The Promotional Competition is open to residents and citizens of South Africa who are
18 years and older, except employees, directors, members, partners, agents or
consultants, product suppliers of the price, (including spouses, life partners, business
partners or immediate family members of any of the aforementioned) of the Organisers,
Monster Energy Europe Limited and their advertising / media agencies, the retailer or
any other companies and their subsidiary companies in association with the
Competition.
3. By entering the promotional competition, all participants and winners agree to have the
legal capacity to enter into the Competition and agree to be bound by these rules which
will be interpreted by the Organisers, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final
and binding. The Organisers reserve the right to amend, modify or change these rules
at any time during the Promotional Competition. Any false information provided will
result in a disqualification.
4. The Competition shall commence on 25 June 2015 to 05 August 2015, both days
inclusive (“Competition Period”). Any entry received prior to or after these dates will not
be considered. All entries must reach the Organiser within the stipulated competition
period.
5. Participants stand a chance of winning one of 3 Ken Block replica remote controlled
cars (“the Prize”).
6. In order to qualify as an entrant:
a. the entrant must live in the Republic of South Africa;
b. only individuals can participate in this competition and will be entered into the draw
and companies will be excluded;
c. The entrant must purchase any 2 cans of Monster 473ml/500ml Energy product
within the same purchase transaction at participating Sasol Convenience Centres,
in SA and SMS messaging ‘KEN BLOCK’ and the last 4 digits of the barcode found
on each of the cans of Monster Energy product to 45075. One entry per purchase.
Entries will only be accepted via standard SMS. Free and/or automated SMS
entries do not apply. Entries cost R1.00 per SMS.
7. The Organiser will not be responsible for any non-delivery of entries

8. Participants may enter the competition as many times as they wish, so long as they
purchase any 2 cans of 473ml/500ml can of Monster Energy drink at selected
participating Sasol Convenience Centres in SA (available whilst stocks last). Please
retain your till-slip as proof of purchase for each transaction.
9. The draw for the competition will take place on 21 August 2015 the winners will be
randomly chosen from all qualifying entrants by a registered auditor. The participants
whose names are drawn first will be declared the winner of the 3 remote controlled Ken
block cars. Judges’ decision shall be final and no further correspondence shall be
entered into.
The prize winners will be contacted telephonically on the draw date.
In the event that the winner cannot be contacted after 3 tries then the Organisers
reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible winner.

10. The Organisers may require the winners (at no fee) to be identified. A winner has the
right to refuse the use of his/her image in marketing material or may refuse to
participate in any marketing activity.
11. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash or any other prize. The
Organisers reserve the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable
commercial value. The prize cannot be transferred and will only be handed over if all
details given are factually correct.
12. The Organiser will require the winners to complete and submit an information
disclosure document to enable the Organiser to ensure compliance with these rules
and the provisions Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or
be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have
rejected the Prizes and it shall revert back to the Organiser.
13. If prizes are not claimed within a period of 3 months, the Organiser reserves the right
to award the prize to the reserve winners drawn. In the event that the Ken Bloc replica
remote controlled car be defective or damaged upon delivery, the prize winner may
return the device for repairs or replacement at no cost to themselves provided this is
done within 7 days after becoming aware of the defect or damages. No returns of
defective or damaged Ken Bloc replica remote controlled car will be accepted after 7
working days after being aware of the defect or damages. In order to return the device,
the prize winner is requested to send an email to Giuliana Lovett

giuliana.lovett@sgconvenience.co.za. Ken Bloc replica remote controlled car and it’s
accessories are not covered by a warranty. The defect on the Ken Bloc replica remote
controlled car will not entitle the winner to return the device for a monetary refund or
any other form of exchange.
14. All participants and winners and/or their legal guardians, as the case may be,
indemnify the Organisers, their advertising agencies, its affiliates and/or associated
companies against all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from
their participation in any way in this Promotional Competition (including, as result of
any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise on the part of the Organisers).
15. If the prize winner has given his written consent, Sasol have the right to publish the
winner's name and photographs (at no fee) in any advertising, promotional, print, and
point-of-sale or public relations material. The nature of these publications will be
determined at the sole discretion of Sasol, for a period of twelve (12) months from the
date of the lucky draw.
16. If the Organiser cannot continue with the promotional competition for any reason
beyond their reasonable control or if they are required by any regulatory terms or
applicable law, the Organiser may end the promotional competition on condition that:
a. no prize winners have been determined; and
b. Reasonable notice has been given beforehand to all entrants.
17 The Organisers reserve the right to amend or alter the Standard Terms and Conditions
of the Competition at any time.
