A theory session both mornings will explain the exercises and concepts that the participants will be working on. We will focus on resolving specific problems that each partnership is experiencing so participants take away skills and knowledge specific to themselves and their horse. Possible topics we will cover include: round penning, lunging, barn manners, improving your horse’s focus, dealing with herd-bound horses and spooking horses. Heather makes these groundwork principles fun, both in and out of the round pen. She has a great, down-toearth way of teaching. The clinic is suitable for any horse and owner combination, even young or problem horses. Participants may progress to riding on the second day. Women’s Retreat EMRTTM and CCmrtTM Horses are athletes and, like humans, subject to stress and strain. People riding horses create problems. EMRT™ alleviates these by balancing and re-aligning the body’s systems. EMRT™ involves a sequence of very gentle moves that stimulate the fascia tissue at key points in the horse’s body. EMRT™ addresses every system in the horse’s body to bring about a state of balance – homeostasis. EMRT™ is a Holistic treatment that works on the Central Nervous System reprogramming trauma.
