Calhoun Honors College Ambassadors
Calhoun Honors College Ambassadors are a group of Honors student volunteers who are passionate
about Honors at Clemson University and the opportunities available to Honors students. Honors
Ambassadors meet with prospective students and their families to provide a student perspective on the
various Honors experiences.
Honors Ambassadors are official ambassadors for the Honors College working in conjunction with the
Calhoun Honors College staff. Honors Ambassadors develop communication, teamwork, and leadership
skills as they interact with prospective students and their families.
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Honors Ambassadors enhance the recruitment of Honors students by
personally connecting with prospective students and their families through recruiting visits, emails, and
phone conversations. Honors Ambassadors are expected to participate in at least ten recruiting visits

upon special request at other times and occasionally Tuesday through Thursday.
Honors Ambassadors are also requested to help with other recruiting activities for Honors and Clemson
University including phon-a-thons, receptions and recruiting blitzes.
TIME COMMITMENT: The Honors Ambassador position is for the duration of your tenure in Honors
(during the fall and spring semesters) unless you resign or do not meet the expectations set forth by the

Honors Ambassadors will be required to attend all recruiting visits requested by the Honors College
office staff unless the Ambassador is excused for a valid reason.
