This transaction set can be used to allow shippers, or other parties, to provide a motor carrier with a manifest of all of the shipments tendered to a carrier. It is not to be used to provide a motor carrier with data relative to a load tender, legal bill of lading, pick-up notification, or appointment scheduling. Heading: Pos. No. Seg. ID Name Req. Des. The BLR segment identifies the carrier and the date the shipments were tendered. The L11 segment provides the book or manifest number. Loop 0100 shall provide the ship-from name and address location and any relevant reference numbers. The ship-to locations are transmitted in loop 0220. The SMD segment is used to provide the primary service level (for example ground, air, two day) and shipment method of payment for all of the packages (shipments) contained in each iteration of the loop. The individual package detail and any additional service requirements are transmitted in loop 0240. Loop 0220 shall be used to provide the ship-to name and address as well as other related parties to the shipment with the exception of the ship-from which is transmitted in loop 0100. Loop 0240 provides data, including all bar coded carrier or shipper assigned package identification numbers, relative to each individual package. 116102155 5 CDW Corporation March 9, 2000 Segment: Position: Loop: Level: Usage: Max Use: Purpose: Syntax Notes: Semantic Notes: ST Transaction Set Header 010 Heading: Mandatory 1 To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number 1 The transaction set identifier (ST01) used by the translation routines of the interchange partners to select the appropriate transaction set definition (e.g., 810 selects the Invoice Transaction Set).
