Masters of Arts Program in the Humanities- MAPH 47600, Community College
Pedagogy, for students interested in using their MA to teach in two-year
colleges. Taught by a Master Teacher from a local college, this course covers
curricular development, pedagogic technique, assessment, and other matters
crucial to academic work in the classroom. MAPH works with Career and
Placement Services to build a resume book for students in this course, which is
then sent to personnel directors at local colleges for faculty recruitment purposes.

Program Emphasis: The Institute for Community College Development at Cornell
University (ICCD) is a partnership between Cornell University and the State University of
New York. ICCD focuses on different roles of two- and four-year institutions and creating
partnerships between these institutions to build up and widen professional connections.
The Institute provides programming and research support for community colleges and
offers education and professional development opportunities for current and future
administrators and faculty members of community colleges.
