Hematology Fellowship Opportunities at the Odette
Cancer Center (OCC)
The OCC is a tertiary care institution affiliated with University of Toronto and
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center. The OCC is the second largest
comprehensive cancer center in Canada with 10,000 new patients seen annually.
DURATION: 1-2 years
START DATES: January 1 and July 1 of each year
FUNDING: Available at PGY6 ($71,000/y) and PGY7 ($74,000/y) levels. Peer
reviewed fellowship funding applications strongly encouraged.
SCOPE:
 Candidates will have the opportunity to refine clinical expertise in the
management of lymphoid malignancies including high dose
therapy/autologous stem cell transplants and/or adult myelodysplastic
syndromes at an 'MDS Center of Excellence'.
 Candidates will attend 1.5 days of clinics and rounds and will have 3.5 days
of protected time to conduct clinical and/or translational research projects
pertaining to above subspecialties.
 Fellows are encouraged to pursue post-graduate training in clinical
epidemiology, medical education or basic/translational sciences at the
University of Toronto.
