The Textbook Rental Program allows students attending College of the Siskiyous (with a
valid S-Number) the opportunity to rent selected textbooks for the duration of one
semester.
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Please Initial by each condition and print and sign the bottom of the agreement.
_____ 1. I understand and accept the responsibility that at the end of the current semester (the
last day of finals), it is my responsibility to return the books rented under this program or pay the
replacement price (as stated below) of the books in my possession. Payment can be made with
cash, debit, or credit.
_____ 2. I understand that the book rented by me is the property of the Campus Gift & Bookstore
and in accepting the terms of this book rental program, I accept the responsibility to use the book
and return it to the Campus Gift & Bookstore in resalable condition (condition is determined by
the Bookstore Supervisor). Rental textbooks must be returned without writing or other damage
outside of normal wear and tear. Highlighting is acceptable.
_____ 3. I understand and authorize the College of the Siskiyous Business Office to place my
student record on hold if the book is not returned by___________ (the last day of the current
semester’s finals). To release the hold, I will need to pay the replacement fee for all unreturned
textbooks. Once a hold is placed it may take up to 48 hours to be released. In addition, if my
book is not returned by the deadline, I will not be eligible to participate in this program the
following semester.
_____ 4. I understand that my rental fee is refundable only if the book is returned by
___________ and will be held to the same terms and conditions under the Refund Policy of the
Campus Gift and Bookstore.
