LOCATION
T.K. Stone Middle School indoor pool, Poplar Drive @ Beach Street, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Take Exit 94 off I-65
• proceed West on US 62 (Mulberry St.) • turn right on Beech Street • Follow Beech until it dead ends onto Poplar Dr
at the back of the school • You are now in the parking lot for the pool.
FACILITIES
8 lane, 25 yards indoor pool with non - turbulent dividers; Colorado Timing/Start system; 8 line digital scoreboard;
SR Smith starting blocks. The depth of the pool at the start end is 6 feet. The depth at the shallow end is 4 feet.
FORMAT
Timed finals age group meet open to all current/valid USA Swimming athletes and teams. Age groups of 8 & under,
9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & Over. Swimmer’s age on Nov 22, 2014 will determine their age for the meet. Enter
meet in short course yards times. Swimmers have to swim all four events, and their times will be added at the end to
determine final places.

RULES
Current USA Swimming & Kentucky Swimming rules will govern the meet. USA Swimming athlete members must be
under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. Swimmers
participating under the provisions of 202.6 or USA Swimming’s “open border” policy must be under the supervision of
their coach or a USA Swimming member coach. Coaches who are entering swimmers but will not be at the meet
should arrange ahead of time for another coach to supervise their athletes. Swimmers unaccompanied by their
coaches or for whom arrangements have not been made must contact the Meet Director or Meet Referee who will
assist the athlete in finding coach supervision
Any USA SWIMMING swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being
proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a
member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this
requirement.
Coaches must display their USA Swimming coaches’ credentials.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest
rooms or locker rooms.
Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designate areas is not appropriate and is
prohibited.
ENTRIES
Swimmers should enter all four (4) individual events, as the final places/awards will be determined by the added
times of their individual swims. Entries will be taken on a first come, first serve basis and will close at
approximately 300 swimmers. All entrant’s USA Swimming registration numbers must be listed and accompany
the entry for the team. Please enter short course yards times.
Early entries accepted. Deadline is November 19, 2014.

Meet fees, a hard copy of entries and the signed release form for emailed entries must be received no later than four
days after receipt of your email. Entry fees must accompany all mailed entries. If you are using an overnight
delivery service please DO NOT require a signature.

SWIMMERS WITH A DISABILITY
Entries for swimmers with a disability should be handled in the following manner: (1) enter the swimmer in the HyTek database (or on the regular entry form); (2) list in the email accompanying the Hy-Tek entry file (or on a separate
sheet of paper) the name of the swimmer, the stroke(s)/distance(s) s/he wishes to swim, the entry times, the
day/session s/he wishes to swim the event(s), and the manner in which s/he prefers to be seeded (with a longer
distance or with a different age group); and (3) provide any information about special accommodations needed by
the swimmer. The final determination of seeding will be made by the Meet Referee after consultation with the
swimmer and his/her coach.
LATE ENTRIES
Late/deck entries will be accepted at the discretion of the meet director. No refunds for scratches.
FEES
$5.25 / Individual Event.
$3.00 Facility Surcharge / swimmer
$2.50 Kentucky Swimming LSC surcharge / swimmer
Deck entry will be $10.50 per event if there is room available without adding additional heats.
TIME LINE
Warm-up will start at 7:30am, and we will have two (2) 40 min warm-up scheduled (teams lanes/times will be sent
on Thursday (Nov 15th). All USA Swimming and Kentucky Swimming warm-up guidelines will be followed. Each team
will be assigned a warm-up lane(s). Some lanes might have more than one team assigned. The coaches will control
their own lanes for warm-up. Meet starts at 9:00am.
AWARDS
Ribbons will be given for first through eighth place for each age group and gender. Awards will be determined by the
added time of each swimmer on their four (4) events. Coaches are asked to take awards at the end of the meet.
MEETINGS
There will be coaches’ meeting 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. There will be an officials meeting 30
minutes prior to the start of the meet.
ADMISSION
Gate admission is $5.00 per person (10 and under free).
HEAT SHEETS
Will be free for coaches and public.
OFFICIALS
Officials from other teams who would like to OFFICIATE or APPRENTICE are welcome. All officials must show proof
of current/valid USA Swimming Membership before they will be allowed to work on pool deck.
