Happy News: Patti is happy that her son, Michael, got
married last Saturday. Keep the family of murdered gas
attendant in your prayers. Mike is happy that CarolAnn
was picked "Person of the Month". Jackie is happy that
her family went to the Phillies game and our club's name
was on the board.
Program: Alfia DeKovacs, District Rotary Youth
Exchange Committee Chairman, spoke to the club.
About 5000 students per year overseas to promote peace
and understanding, from the Eastern Area of Rotary.
This includes from Canada, down the east coast and
Bermuda. Our district must take in at least as many
students as we send out. This year we sent out 5 and
have 8 inbound students. Students should be treated as
one of the family and usually three host families during
their stay. The school district must accept the student.
Announcements: Dottie asked for help with the
District Zone Institute at the registration desk, let her
know if you can help. Also help is needed for the Fine
Arts Festival in Woodbury. Board meeting on Sept. 9th
at Dottie's house, 7 pm. Ginny has suggested a
FaceBook page for the club. Lee will try to help with
