Here is a template or sentence frame you can use to help write your
“SMART” goals for your intervention groups’ PDSA plans.
By (the time of the next measurement assessment), students will be able to
(specific and attainable skill or task) as evidenced by (research data from
the assessment measurement).
For example:
By the end of second quarter, students will be able to add and subtract two
digit numbers with regrouping as evidenced by their satisfactory
performance (75% or better) on the Unit 5 Math test.
Or:
By the end of the month, students will be able to recognize and name all
upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet as evidenced by their onesecond responses during the ABC Flashcard test.
In other words:
