SUMMARY
Coordination of staff support services within individual's homes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 Performs and delegates all duties outlined in the residential trainer job description, when necessary for
coverage.
 Responsible for working any shift when coverage cannot be scheduled.
 Carries a pager and cell phone and responds immediately within 15 minutes to all pages/calls and takes
appropriate actions.
 Coordinates responses to all client medical emergencies.
 Coordinates all training, evaluation, and discipline of assigned support staff by company policy.
 Monitors work schedules to ensure that all shifts are covered by staff trained for coverage at each client site.
 Monitors and approves time tickets work hours and overtime requests for staff. Monitors all overtime for
assigned staff.
 Authorizes PTO requests and ensures that coverage is provided.
 Assists with facilitation of team meetings and house meetings.
 Assists the Director of Community Living in the development of the annual budget.
 Monitors and accounts for expenditures within the guidelines of the approved budget.
 Assures that support staff handle client finances in accordance with company policy.
 Assures that all support services are delivered in accordance with each client's PCSP.
 Attends all mandatory departmental meetings and/or training assigned by the Director of Community Living.
 Reviews and responds forwards all Occurrence Reports. to the Central Residential Office for processing.
 Ensures that all client data is current and available to support staff.
 Assures that all staff and residents are taught emergency procedures (fire, tornado, & other emergencies).
 Assures that all staff at the individual residences are current with required training.
 Instructs all staff to ensure that they are aware of the chain of command process.
 Make sure that all staff are aware of and practice appropriate ANE procedures.
 Checks to ensures that all necessary household supplies and food are adequately stocked in the group home.
 Responds to and implements all services regarding medications or health services in a timely manner.
 Maintains all documentation in the client’s Red Medication Notebook.
 Models, encourages, and facilitates team work.
 Communicates, validates, and demonstrates appreciation to staff and clients.
 Assures all pertinent documentation pertaining to client service delivery is completed in a timely manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises ten to fifteen employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assures staff coverage is in place for all shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years experience in the mental retardation (MR) or
developmental disability (DD) field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current and valid Driver's License
CPR child and adult First Aid, Bloodborne/MSDS, MANDT, Positive Behavior Supports, TECH Medication
Training, ANE, IDD, Anger Management, WWPDD, Nutrition, Budgets, Documentation, and TECH Medication
Peer Reviewer (employer will provide training to acquire certificates)
