1. Description of the Project:
The fine heavy calcium carbonate powder has an extensive use in the national economy.
For example, it’s used to reduce melting point of glass and raise acidproof nature and
intensity in the glass industry; in the industry of refining sugar, it’s used to precipitate
impurity; in the environmental protection, it’s used to depurate water and to decarbolize
industrial waste water; in agriculture, it’s used as fertilizer and to carry on the
modification of acidity soil, above each domain is major with its crude ore or thick powder.
The fine heavy calcium carbonate powder is chiefly used in the industries, such as plastics,
rubber, fine chemical industry, papermaking and paint etc. The calcite resources are very
rich in Tanggou Township of Xiuyan County, and prospected by Anshan Municipal Geology Mine
Exploring & Surveying Institute and Liaoning Geology Research Institute, the total reserves
occupy the first place in the whole nation more than 100 million tons. The crude ore is
through chemical examination and the result is that, calcium carbonate content is more than
99%, and among them the calcium oxide reaches more than 54%, white degree is about 94%,
iron content is lower than 0.06% and its quality is rare inside the country. For fully
developing these resources, a fine heavy calcium carbonate powder production factory will
be set up with annual production capacity of 20 thousand tons, among them, 4200 tons of
more than 200 mesh, 15800 tons of 325 mesh. Building phase is 1 year.

The product of the heavy calcium carbonate primary mineral of Xiuyan County has gained
better prestige in the international market especially Japan market because the merits that
its quality possesses stabilization, the price is inexpensive, the resources are sufficient
and supplying the goods is timely etc.
At present, owing to the application domain of fine heavy calcium carbonate powder is
very vast, so this product assumes that supply falls short of demand on the market
continuously, developing the product will have stronger competition in the market, and so
the market foreground has a very good prospect.
