Signora Lee’s Italian Class In this class you will need: 2 inch binder with 3 divided sections Folder Pens/Pencils Italian Dictionary is highly recommended Please come to class prepared. That means ALWAYS bring your notebook , folder and a writing utensil. Grading Policy: Classwork/Participation 30% Tests/Quizzes 40 % Homework 30 % Your responsibilities Oggi You must come into class and immediately get to work on the Oggi and the Warm-up. It is a timed exercise. Failure to complete the warm-up in the allotted time will result in losing points for classwork/participation. What is the Oggi? It is the date and weather in Italian. You must also copy down the Essential Question and be prepared to answer that question at the end of class. The warm-up will usually be an exercise based on the previous day’s lesson. Classwork/Homework You will have an Esercizi folder which will contain all of your Vocabulary and Grammar assignments from the Tabella. The folders are due every FRIDAY with all completed assignments. You will usually have 5 homework assignments per week. It is your responsibility to place them in the bin. You will lose 5 pts for everyday late. I will not accept loose papers. You may choose to create a new idea for the Tabella- please check with me before you do it. I love new ideas! I will be assigning Classwork that I expect to be completed. It will be graded on a daily or weekly basis. Failure to do the assignments will negatively effect your Classwork/Participation grade. Missing Work It is YOUR responsibility to make up missing work. I will not chase after you. You already know the Esercizi folder is due each FRIDAY. Any additional handouts or assignments will be in the Class Absent Folder in the back of the classroom. Please talk to me at the beginning or end of class if you have questions about missing work. Check the website also. If you miss a test or quiz, YOU must ask me when you can make it up.
