Wright Street Naperville, IL 60540 Little Friends is excited to announce the receipt of a significant art donation from The Schumacher Family, formerly of Naperville. Raymond Schumacher has donated an acrylic sculpture by the renowned artist Frederick Hart. Mr. Hart is best known for “The Creation Sculptures” at the Washington National Cathedral, and the bronze statue, “Three Soldiers”, that is part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Hart pioneered the use of clear acrylic resin to cast sculptures. This process is what he used for his series “The Age of Light”. The sculpture that Little Friends has been given is entitled “The Eye of Flame”. This piece is the first in a series of 300 that were done in a limited release, and it may be viewed on the artist’s website at www.hartcollection.com We invite you to come view this spectacular work of art at our 36th Annual Bids for Kids Auction that will take place on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012, at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville.
