How much DNA should you supply?
We will use between 1l and 14l of DNA with each primer you wish to sequence with.
The volume (l) of DNA we will use depends on the size of the DNA template (kb) and its concentration (ng/l):
The larger the template, the greater the amount (ng) of DNA required.
The weaker the concentration, the greater the volume (l) of DNA required.
Please make sure your
DNA concentrations are
less than 300ng/ul
The following table indicates how much DNA (ng) is required for different sized templates. Please supply a sufficiently large volume (l) of DNA to allow
the required amount (ng) of DNA to be used; plus at least an additional 10l extra volume (l) to enable efficient pipetting.
