The Workshop is sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by the Federal Republic of Germany for promotion
of scientific collaboration. It is the second event of this kind (the first one was held
in Kyiv, 5-7 May 2008), organized jointly by German and Ukrainian scientists
working under collaborative Research Group Linkage Program, ongoing currently
between Leibniz-Institut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (Berlin, Germany) and
Taras Shevchenko National University (Kyiv, Ukraine). The idea of the workshops
is to promote exchanging of ideas relevant to chemical, biophysical and
theoretical research of peptides and other biomolecules. It is anticipated that
bringing together the experts in related, but different fields of science will promote
generation of innovative ideas and technologies.
