The year 2014 is going to become
a year of wide celebration of the
Bicentennial of Taras Shevchenko’s
birth. To commemorate the honour
of a great Ukrainian Bard and an
inspirer of a modern democratic
ideal of the renewed Ukrainian
statehood, we are conducting a Web
Quest for the pupils of the senior
School of our Educational Unity on
the topic:
- work with your partners in small groups;
- look for information on the Internet in real English;
- understand information in real English;
- select the information you need;
- communicate on the topic under discussion in oral and
written form;
- create PPP and Wall Paper and write an argumentative
essay using the information which you have collected;
- widen you outlook and deepen your knowledge of the Taras
Shevchenko’s place and role in the national and international
literature and culture;
- form the core 21-st century skills.
You are a team of investigative reporters.
Your newspaper assigned you the task to
prepare materials about a Great Ukrainian
Bard and his role in the history of Ukraine and
the whole world.
