Grandparents or Carers. Please call in to join us for a lovely morning of play and chat!

As a reminder School is open to Junior Children at 8.55am and Infant Children at 8.45am. The Breakfast Club is
available to all children from 8 – 8.30am (no entry after 8.30am). Could all parents of Infant children please enter
and leave the school through the Infant Door at the far end of the playground.
Attendance
School starts at 8.55am and all children should be in school at this time. It is very important that if your child is
absent due to illness to please contact us on 01639 843116 by 9.30 am. If you do not contact the school by this
time then the absence will be marked as unauthorised and reported to the Education Welfare Officer.
We will be monitoring absences very closely together with the Education Welfare Officer and would
appreciate your co-operation with this.
There are holiday request forms available in the office for an absence due to a family holiday.
Dinner Money
Dinner money is collected on a Monday morning, the cost of a school dinner is £1.95 per day and should be paid in
advance. Please send dinner money to school in an envelope marked with your child’s name, cheques should be
made payable to N.P.T.C.B.C. If you are in receipt of the following: Income Support / Employment Support
Allowance (Income Related); Income Based Jobseekers Allowance; Child Tax Credit (proving you are not entitled to
Working Tax Credit and have an annual taxable income, as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs, that does not
exceed £16,190); Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit., ask for an Application for Fee School Meals.
Parking
Please DO NOT park directly outside the school for the safety of the children. This area is reserved for the
school bus only and is routinely patrolled by the Police. As a reminder access to the school yard is for staff only.
Welcoming New Children
If you have friends or family who would like to visit the school with a view to their children attending Godre’rgraig
Primary then please ask them to contact me. As from September all admission forms must be sent to NPTCBC
before a child can start school, please contact the school if you have any questions regarding this.
Credit Union Savings
Neath Port Talbot Credit Union have started a savings club for pupils and parents . One of our parents Lisa Kauz
has kindly agreed to run the club and collects the savings on a Wednesday morning from pupils, staff and parents.
It’s a wonderful introduction to saving for children and parents. If you need more information please come to
school on a Wednesday morning to speak with Lisa.
Recycling
You will have noticed that your child has been given a ‘Support Your School’ recycling bag. This is a new scheme to
raise funds for the school by recycling ink cartridges and old mobile phones. Please encourage your friends and
family to give their empty ink cartridges to you so that we can help the environment and raise money for the
school. If you need more bags then we have a supply in the office. Thank you.
OFFICE – PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES BUT THE SCHOOL OFFICE WILL BE UNMANNED DAILY FROM
2.15PM (IF YOU WISH TO CONTACT THE SCHOOL AFTER THIS TIME USE THE MOBILE NUMBER WHICH IS
