Commissioning of Eucharistic Visitors
Sponsor I present to you these persons to be admitted to the ministry of Parish Visitor in
this congregation. They have been raised up and trained to bring the consecrated bread
and wine from the altar to those who otherwise cannot share in the Lord’s Supper this
morning.
People The cup of blessing which we bless is a sharing in the Blood of Christ. The
bread which we break is a sharing in the Body of Christ.
Priest Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten:
People Nor the hope of the poor be taken away.

O God, your Son Jesus Christ was made known to his disciples in the reading of the
Scriptures and the breaking of the Bread: Go with all those who visit your people in his
Name; in the name of the one who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
