The meeting was chaired by Shri S.N Srivastava, DDG(S). Shri S.K Kataria, ADG (QA) was
a Special Invitee. At the outset, they welcomed all participants. The list of participants is
attached as Appendix A.

The items listed in Annexure II were first discussed. Those firm’s representatives who had
attended the meeting gave brief details about the utility of the item and its major users. For
other items, details as available in the file were gone through. The recommendations of the
Sub-Committee arrived after detailed deliberations are mentioned against each item.

Thereafter, the items listed in Annexure-I which contains items requested by indentors were
discussed and deliberated. The recommendations of the Sub-Committee arrived after detailed
discussions are mentioned against each item.
4.
Each of the items recommended by Sub-Committee of SRC need to be put up by respective
Directorate on file for taking approval of DG(S&D) before proceeding.
5.
The request received from some of the Purchase Directorates for deletion of RC items was
discussed. The recommended actions of the Sub-Committee are mentioned in Annexure-III.
6.
Thereafter items listed in Annexure-IV containing status of items decided by earlier SRC were
discussed. The Chairman directed that these items be processed swiftly by Purchase
Directorates for bringing them on RC. The requests of HW Dte for dropping ‘Waste
Combustion System’ and of ES Dte for ‘Security Tokens’ were not agreed to and they were
asked to make more efforts to process these items for bringing them on RC. For items
requested by WL Dte and SC Dte to be transferred to DS&D, Mumbai, DS&D, Kolkata or
other Directorates, it was recommended that they will take approval of DG(S&D) in this
regard.
