Q. What are the advantages of using 100% cotton
for baby’s clothes?
 Cotton is a durable (strong) fibre and will
withstand the constant wear and tear and
stretching/movement of the baby.
 Cotton is absorbent and so will make baby feel
comfortable as sweat will be absorbed.
 Cotton is a comfortable fabric against the skin
so will not irritate the baby.
 Cotton has good laundering properties which is
helpful as a baby’s clothes need regular
washing.
Design Features of Baby-Grows
 The press stud fastenings will allow for ease of
dressing/undressing the baby.
 The studs should not irritate the baby when
wearing the baby-grow.
 Studs are more secure than buttons and so safer.
There is less risk of the baby detaching and
chewing them.

for the baby.
 The press stud fastening will allow for ease of
dressing and undressing the baby.
 The press stud fastening will allow for added
protection from cold when baby is outside /it is
cooler.
 The hood can be used to insulate the head and so
maintain warmth when it is cold / baby is outside.
