Agriculture
Seward County Community College/Area Technical School
Southwest Kansas, a major participant in world agriculture, has continued to be strong in cattle and crop production. Also, other
industries, such as swine, dairy, and ethanol are now moving into southwest Kansas.
Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is striving to meet the needs of this rapidly changing agricultural
environment by offering up-to-date classes in Animal Science, Agronomy and Agri-Business.
SCCC/ATS stresses the importance of acquiring the technical, business and communications skills required for success in today’s agrelated work force. With many agricultural industries in southwest Kansas, Seward County Community College/Area Technical
School can establish internships to give students hands-on experience.

science, management, marketing, and business.
