Behavioral Science
Seward County Community College  Area Technical School
Students will find many uses for the information they learn in sociology and psychology. The student, along with all of society, serves
as his or her own laboratory. Students will be better able to deal with their own feelings and the responses of those around them:
friends, employers, and family members.
For employment in the professional world of sociology or psychology, a master’s degree is usually the minimum requirement. Top
positions in these fields are held by persons with a Ph.D. However, those with a bachelor’s degree find doors open for further training
with business, government, or service organizations. Many opportunities exist in related fields.
