He has practiced cardiology since 1965, and practiced and taught in Arizona since 2005. He lectures to residents on EKG reading in the Banner Good Samaritan internal medicine residency program and cardiology fellowship program. Course Description: This course provides the student with increased knowledge and understanding of clinical EKG’s that will be beneficial to them when they start their clinical rotations, and on the Board exams. Course Objectives: 1) Understand the clinical applications and the potential benefits and pitfalls of using EKG as a diagnostic tool. 2) Understand the electrical/physiological activity of the cardiovascular system, and how that is represented on the EKG tracings, to prepare for more in-depth teaching on clinical rotations.
