Commercial Waste Timed Collection Information
Leman Street and Hooper Street
Who does this affect?
The timed collections affect all businesses located on this road that use a
sack for their waste/recycling disposal and/or have a waste container bin
located on the public highway.
If your waste container bin is located on your private property, the timed
collections do not affect you.
Please see below the timetables for when waste & recycling can be
left for collection on Leman Street and Hooper Street.

Please allow two hours after the last deposit time for waste/recycling to be collected.
Your responsibilities - Duty of Care
Use only the sacks and/or stickers provided by Veolia Environmental Services.
Red sacks are for general waste, purple sacks are for mixed recycling (you can
recycle - plastic bottles, paper, card, glass bottles/jars and aerosols).
Waste/recycling must be securely contained in sacks for disposal – ensuring waste
will not escape (from the sack) when placed out for collection.
Please flat pack cardboard and securely contain the bundle with tape or a piece of
string. Place one pre-paid sticker per bundle and place out for collection at the
correct time.
Waste, recycling and bundles of cardboard must be kept inside the business
premises and only be left out for collection during the specified times.
Ensure sacks are not overweight (see service provider weight restrictions). In the
event of a torn sack resulting in a spillage - reasonable steps will be made to clear
the item/s to prevent an accident and/or access by vermin.

Please note – service providers have up to two hours after the stated deposit time for
waste/recycling to be collected.
Your responsibilities - Duty of Care
Use only the sacks and/or stickers provided by the waste service provider for the
disposal of waste/recycling
Keep waste/recycling inside the business premises and only dispose of for collection
during the specified times and the terms of your contract
If the service provider can not collect the waste/recycling within the specified times it can be collected from within the property at any time
Please leave waste/recycling directly outside your property to enable collection by
the service provider.
