CALL STARTING GRANT GIOVANI RICERCATORI 2014 UNITN INTERNAL CALL FOR PROPOSAL 1. Objectives of the Call In line with its Strategic Plan 2014-2016, the University of Trento promotes the participation of young researchers to national, European or international competitive calls for proposals. The foreseen budgetary allocation to this call is 192.000 euro and the financial contribution is dedicated to cover expenses related to the preparation of proposals aiming at participating in competitive calls (travel costs included). The maximum Financial contribution for each project is up to 12.000 euro allocated as follows: Up to 8 projects for Humanities (96.000 euro) Up to 8 projects for Science and Technology disciplines including Psychology (96.000 euro) 2. Eligible applicants To be eligible the applicant must be a young researchers of the University of Trento: “Assegnisti”, post-doc collaborators and fixed-term assistant professors tenured assistant professors The applicant should also have been awarded the PhD no more than 12 years prior the date of the publication of the call, with the exception of extension in duly justified cases (e.g. maternity and paternity leave, long term illness) up to max 16 years and 6 months. 3. Proposals preparation and submission The proposals can be drafted in English or Italian by using the form attached to the present call and they must be sent within 5 September 2014 only in pdf by email to: research.support@unitn.it. Proposals evaluation The Senato Accademico of the University of Trento will nominate 2 Evaluation Committees one for the Humanities and the other for Science and Technology disciplines including Psychology. The proposals will be assessed according to the following award criteria: - appropriateness of the financial plan to the proposal that the applicant would like to submit to the competitive call (also the type of funding programme will be considered) and - the CV of the applicant. 5. Reports A report must be submitted within 28 February 2016 which should include: A copy of the proposal submitted under the competitive call, for the preparation of which the financial contribution was used; A financial report listing all the expenses incurred for the preparation of the proposal.
