FINAL INSTRUCTIONS
ENTRIES and FEES




















Competitors must pre enter via: www.nominate.com.au or Post.
Entry forms available on the Club’s website www.actmcc.com.au
The Entry Fees are:
Seniors $66, Extra Class $15
Juniors $55, extra class $15
Nippers $25
Sidecars $82
All Feature classes $20 to enter Per feature race.
Sidecar Feature Race will only be run if we get at least 6 entries.
To enter into a Feature Race you must be entered into at least one other class.
Competitors/Entrants must complete the entry forms and attach the correct entry fees
Payment can be made by Cheque or Money Order only.
IF ANY CHEQUES ARE DISHONOURED, THE ENTRANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
PAYMENT OF ANY FEES CHARGED TO THE CLUB

Entries close last mail Friday 29th June 2012.
The ACTMCC being the promoter of this event reserves the right to refuse the entry of a
person or persons from this event.
Late entries may be accepted at the Race Secretary’s discretion, Along with a late Fee of $40
The ACTMCC will raise money for our club by charging spectators other than riders and pit
crew/immediate family $5 per person or $10 per car at the front gates. They will man the gate
from 9am to 3pm.
LICENCES
Can be National, Club or One Event (day) licences.
FIRST AID SERVICES
Will be provided by First Aid Services
AWARDS
Canberra Cup trophies will be awarded to the top three point scorers in each class with 5 or more
competitors.
ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS





To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be
a minimum of 5 or 3 or more for sidecars.
Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel
the Class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards, will be at the discretion of the
Promoter.
Classic Classes: If not enough entries for these classes they will be combined.
Sidecar Feature Race will only be run if we get a least 6 entries.
Classic, Snr Feature, Jnr Feature will only run if we have 10 entries per Class.
CLASSES

The 85cc class 9-u12yrs and 85cc 12-u16yrs will be BIG WHEELS AND STAND WHEELS Run
together and scored together.
RACE FORMAT






There will be 4 rounds of Racing for all classes with one grid of riders or less. For classes with
more than one grid of riders there will be 3 rounds of racing with the top twelve point scorers
from those rounds competing in a one race final.
For the Junior and Senior feature races if there are more than 12 riders there will be 2 Heats
and the top 12 point scorers from those heats will compete in a one race final.
Finishing order in heats will determine pick of grid position in all finals.
Practice will be 2 laps, Races/Heats will be 4 laps.
Junior/Senior feature races will be 6 laps and Sidecar Feature will be 4 laps.
Scoring will be as per GCR’s for Dirt Track.
MACHINES AND RIDERS



All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Track.
Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
Riders wishing to change machine must seek permission from the Clerk of the Course,
however the same machine must be ridden in any final as was ridden in the qualifying heat for
that final.
RIDING NUMBERS



Competitors will be allocated their MNSW Registered Riding Number or their preferred Riding
Number. All others shall be allocated numbers at the Promoter’s discretion.
All Number Plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’s.
Back Number’s MUST be clearly displayed on riders back As per GCR’s 12.6.5
GRID POSITIONS


Will be by peg draw on the day. The peg number drawn will be the gate position.
Finishing order in heats will determine pick of grid position in all finals.
RIDERS BRIEFING
A Riders’ Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of practice and ALL Competitors MUST
attend on both Saturday and Sunday.
DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
Random drug &/or alcohol testing of participants (i.e. officials, competitors, mechanics, pit crew
and any other person associated with the control, direction and operation of the competition) may
take place prior to, or at any time during this meeting
CODE OF CONDUCT
All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE
OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all
Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and shall be
enforced.
PITS:
Trailers only to be in pit area, you may Drive in and Drop trailer off.
No one under 16yrs to be in pit area unless they are a competer.
No One to be in start area.
TIMETABLE
Saturday: Gates open at 6.30am. Sign On and Scrutineering 7am till 8.15am, Riders Briefing
8.30am, Practice 9am and Racing ASAP after Practice. Sat 1 round practice and 2 rounds racing.
If there are heats in feature races these heats will run sat (time permitting).
Sunday: Gates open at 6.30am, riders briefing at 8.15am, racing at 9.00am.Sunday 2 rounds
racing and/or Finals. There will be no need to resign on or scrutineered your bike unless the bike
was involve in an accident on the Saturday.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
607 metre Dirt Track constructed of decomposed granite (Dog Leg).
STARTS
Will be a 12-rider grid with Speedway Style Tapes .Starting procedure will be confirmed at Riders
Briefing.
NOISE
All machines must comply with the requirements of the GCR’s and the ACT’s Motor Sports Noise
Environment Protection Policy (Dirt Track=100db ride by measured @ 35 metres from the outer
trackside opposite marshal point 2). Compulsory EPA track side noise monitoring will be
conducted.
TYRES
NO NOBBY’S TYRES ON JUNIOR 125/250CC OR ANY SENIOR BIKES, otherwise as per
GCR’s. Trials or speedway pattern are ok.
CAMPING
Camping is allowed at the track Friday/Saturday night.
CANTEEN:
Open sat and sun
PRESENTATIONS
Trophy presentations will take place at the Canteen ASAP at the conclusion of racing on the day.

 These are the proposed clubs for the event.
 If you are a member of one of the listed clubs, there will be no need to join the ACTMCC club.
 Affiliation card will need to be sited.

 Day membership will be available $20 a person.
MARSHALLING
You will be required to provide a marshal for this event, if you are unavailable to fulfil this duty it is
up to you to find a replacement.
