Special Education Facilitator Job Description Qualifications/Description: Requirements include Special Education certification, extensive experience at the secondary level, and expertise in IDEA guidelines, IEP Procedures and Vocational Education. Primary Responsibilities: Facilitating Curriculum Adaptations and Accommodations -Facilitating the implementation of IEP Specially Designed Instruction -Assisting in developing curriculum adaptations and accommodations for special needs students in compliance with IEPs -Assisting in developing adapted grading and evaluation procedures for special needs students in compliance with IEPs Monitoring Student Progress -Coordinating and conducting quarterly Progress Monitoring for special needs students -Assessing progress toward IEP goals & goal adjustment as needed -Providing consultation for quarterly grading procedures -Facilitating quarterly progress meetings with CTC staff Coordinating Math Remediation Services -Assisting in piloting the design and implementation of basic math assessment for CTC students - Assisting in coordinating remediation services for students identified in need of basic math remediation -Tracking and reporting student progress Coordinating IEP Meetings -Piloting the relocation of annual IEP meetings to the CTC - Assisting in the development of CTC - IEP goals/objectives from program task lists aligned to adapted program curriculum Evaluation: Reports to and is evaluated by the Administrative Director. This position will be re-evaluated annually to determine continuance.
