15A NCAC 02C .0218 AQUIFER RECHARGE WELLS
Aquifer Recharge Wells are used to recharge depleted aquifers and inject uncontaminated water of equal or better
quality than the aquifer being recharged. The requirements for Aquifer Recharge Wells shall be the same as
described in Rule .0219 of this Section except that the Director may impose additional requirements for the
protection of human health and the environment based on site specific criteria, existing or projected environmental
impacts, compliance with the provisions of the rules of this Section, or the compliance history of the facility owner.
