The project includes construction of a low-head waterworks combined
with the bridge across the Volga River in the lower pool of the existing
Gorodetsky multi-purpose waterworks facility
Ensure equal guaranteed 4.0 m depth and uninterrupted navigation along
the major waterway of the North-South international transport corridor
(Saint-Petersburg – Astrakhan) through increasing the depth of the
limitary 54 km section, and reducing the ship passage time ate the above
section by three times
Pre-investment, investment available documents:
 Rationale for 2006 investments
 Completion of design and cost estimate documents, and their
agreement in accordance with the established procedure
 Financing – Rb 144.6 million
Estimated total capital investments – Rb 10200 million
Investment period: regular period of waterworks construction – 6 years
Initiation of construction, funding amount and sources to be defined by
the RF Government Resolution
