Chair Rieger-Borer called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m.

Board members present were: Jeanette Rieger-Borer, Katie Jones, Michael Holthaus, Paul Zabinski and Alicia
Millner. Jon Scheer was absent

Zabinski moved to approve the agenda. Holthaus seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Jones reported on the June 25, 2013 meeting.

Holthaus reported on the July, 2013 AEA meeting.

Zabinski moved to approve the following action items under a consent agenda. Jones seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
a.
Minutes from the June 24, 2013 meeting.
b.
Approval of the July check register.
c.
Approval of payment of building invoices.
d.
Approval of membership in the Minnesota School Board Association for 2013-14.
Unfinished Business
a.
Member Michael Holthaus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION RELATING TO RENEWING THE EXPIRING
REFERENDUM REVENUE AUTHORIZATION OF THE
SCHOOL DISTRICT AND CALLING AN ELECTION THEREON
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Paul Zabinski and
upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Katie Jones, Alicia Millner, Paul Zabinski, Michael
Holthaus and Jeanette Rieger-Borer
and the following voted against the same:
None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

New Business:
a.
Jones moved to approve the following employment contract for the 2013-14 school year:
Sally Kerbaugh as Technology/Literacy Specialist at Annandale Elementary School.
Jessica Dircks as a 2nd grade teacher.
Millner seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

b.
Principals Kuehn and Kerbaugh reviewed the highlights of our Emergency Safety Plan for the district.
c.
Zabinski moved to approve the high school, middle school and elementary student handbooks for
2013-14. Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Information Items:
a.
The next regular school board meeting will be on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Middle
School Music Room
b.
The new teachers reception will be held on Monday, August 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
Millner moved to adjourn at 8:03 p.m. Jones seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
