First Aid Measures
Contact with eyes
Immediately flush eyes with directed stream of clean water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids
apart to ensure complete irrigation of all eye and lid tissue
GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION
Contact with skin
Immediately flush exposed skin with water and wash with soap and water. If clothing penetrated,
remove clothing. Flush exposed skin with water for 15 minutes.
Ingestion
If person is conscious, immediately administer large quantities of water.
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION
Inhalation
Remove from exposure. Keep warm and at rest.

Fire Fighting Methods
Non flammable. May generate toxic and explosive fumes in a fire therefore fire fighters should wear self contained breathing
apparatus and full body protective clothing. Select extinguishing medium appropriate to other materials in and/or to the
circumstances of the fire. Contact with certain metals liberates highly flammable hydrogen gas which may form an explosive
mixture with gas.

Stability & Reactivity
Reacts with acids. Contact with ammonium salts liberates ammonia gas.
Reacts with halocarbons, nitro ethane, nitro propane and acid anhydrides.
Corrosive to aluminium, magnesium, zinc and tin.
Absorbs carbon dioxide from the air.
Contact with aluminium, brass, tin and zinc will produce highly flammable and explosive hydrogen gas.

Liquid and mist causes severe irritation and corrosion to skin, eyes, respiratory and digestive tracts.
Corrosive to eyes and may cause corneal damage.
Corrosive to skin on prolonged contact causing ulceration and possibly dermatitis.
Unlikely to be absorbed through the skin.
Ingestion may cause haematemesis, oesophageal and gastric perforation.
High exposure to aspired mists or vapours may lead to bronchitis, pneumonitis and obstructive pulmonary oedema.
