MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Exposure to heat may promote
violent decomposition. Will burn if involved in a fire. Water Reactive. Material will react with
water and may release a flammable and/or toxic gas. Extremely flammable liquid and vapor.
May form explosive peroxides.
Extinguishing Media: Use carbon dioxide or dry chemical. DO NOT USE WATER OR FOAM.
Accidental Release Measures
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment.
Spills/Leaks: Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in
suitable container. Remove all sources of ignition. Use a spark-proof tool. Do not expose spill to
water.
