We understand that this student’s IEP must be reviewed annually at an IEP meeting. However, after an
annual review has been held, the law permits a student’s IEP to be amended without an IEP meeting if the
school representative and the parent or educational decision-maker for the student agree that a meeting is not
needed. It is important to note that the student’s annual review of the IEP is not altered in any way by this amendment.
Both the parent/adult student and the district agree to modify the student’s IEP without convening an IEP
Team meeting as indicated below:
