AUSTRALASIA Industrial Bulletin 30th March, 2010 Daylight Saving (Summer Time) ends in Australia 4th April, 2010 Dear Valued Customers: Inchcape Shipping Services advises that Daylight Saving ends in the Australian states of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and The Australian Capital Territory on 4th April, 2010, where at 3 a.m. all clocks will be turned back by ONE (1) hour to 2 a.m.. It should be noted that the States of Queensland and Western Australia as well as the Northern Territory do not observe Daylight Saving and therefore their time will remain the same. Where Daylight Saving is being observed: Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) will revert to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT) will revert to Australian Central Standard Time (ACST) The Time Zones are as follows: Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST): which covers the eastern states of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 10 hours (UTC + 10 hours). Australian Central Standard Time (ACST): which covers the state of South Australia and the Northern Territory is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 9.5 hours (UTC + 9.5 hours). Australian Western Standard Time (AWST): covers the state of Western Australia and is equal to Coordinated Universal Time plus 8 hours (UTC + 8 hours).
