Howard Boyer - Lead Singer & Guitarist: Local Performer for last 20
Years, Worship leader at local churches, & has been involved in
collaborative recordings with Jay Sellers and Tom Billingsley, country
music writers and producers. Some of the original music performed by Platte
River Band was written and composed by Jay Sellers. Howard has a smooth
baritone voice much like Clint Black and George Strait and enjoys every
moment of entertaining others.
David Moyer – Bass Player, Flute and vocals: Teacher and Performer. His
national and international work includes performances with: The New
Christy Minstrels, Fred Waring’s Pennsylvanians, The 2nd Edition, CJD
Trio, Cowboy Buck and Friends, Bob Hope, Pat Boone, The Lettermen, The
Amazing Kreskin, and many others. A few of his released CD’s include:
Sentimental Journey, Proud to Be an American, Mighty Clouds of Joy, and
Fred Waring’s Song of America.
Michael Dennis - Lead & Rhythm Guitarist: Lead Guitar Player for
bands that opened for: Jerry Lee Lewis, Bonnie Raitt, POCO, Jessie Colin
Young, and Kenny Rogers. He brings to us an extraordinary talent, a great
sense of humor and is a distinguished performer with exuberant energy.
Cathi Mangione Moyer – Keyboards & Vocals: Teacher, pianist, and
performer. Cousin of Chuck Mangione, and has performed with Barry
McGuire, The Hagar Brothers, Cowboy Buck and Friends, CJD Trio, Swing
Inspiration with Arnie Carruthers, and presently recording a classical piano
CD. CD’s include: Sentimental Journey, Proud To Be An American, Happy
Holidays.
Jeffrey Styers “Crash” - Lead Drummer: Goes by the stage name
“Crash”. His career began in Kindergarten class pounding out the beat to
“Three Little Indians”. Since then, he has performed in a number of bands
large and small, including Rainy Days, 13th Hour, Gory Daze, The Pickles,
Under the Influence, Missiles of Love, and now the Platte River Band.
“Crash” brings a percussive energy to the Platte River Band that we are sure
you will enjoy!
