This tournament available to current students attending universities and colleges in the West of Scotland
Scottish Student Sport, in partnership with BADMINTONscotland, is offering badminton players at Universities and College’s in
the West of Scotland the opportunity to play competitive matches. The SSS West Regional Tournament is being held at the
Cockburn Centre, 40 Bogmoor Place, Glasgow on Wednesday 27 November 2013.
Conditions
1. A player shall be qualified to enter a West Regional College Badminton Tournament providing they are currently a
student at a University or College in the West of Scotland.
2. Players entering “partner wanted” will be paired if a partner is available.
3. Players can enter doubles events with partners from any University or College.
4. The Referee reserves the right not to hold an event if insufficient entries are received or to limit numbers. The date
entries are received will be taken into account.
5. Each event will initially be run in groups followed by a knock-out stage.
6. All matches will be played in accordance with the BWF Laws of Badminton. Details of these Laws can be found on
the
BADMINTONscotland

7. The tournament is open to players of all standards who are currently students at a University or College in the West
of Scotland.
8. Players should be prepared to report to the organiser’s table on arrival at the hall and be ready to start play by 12.00
hrs on Wednesday 27 November 2013 (this time is provisional depending on entries).
9. Entry fee per player per event: £1.00.
10. Closing date for receipt of entries Friday 15 November 2013.
As it may be necessary to restrict the numbers of entries, please note entries will be accepted on a first come, first
served basis, and when the quota is received in each event further entries will not be accepted.

12. Late entries may not be accepted.
13. The Committee reserves the right to add to or to alter these conditions. Its decision in all matters will be final.
