Instrumentation Engineer:
SUMMARY: Capable of running engineering projects (for instrumentation of and
automating test equipment) under the guidance of a department manager or a senior
engineer. This position requires the candidate to review, specify, size, and requisition
instrumentation for use in an engineering laboratory. The candidate will also be able to
set up, run, train others on, and document the instrumentation system. Training on
instrumentation and automation engineering will be provided as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with an interest in
instrumentation.
 0-5 years of instrumentation engineering experience
 Ability to understand and implement ANSI drawing standards

action. Provide field support on unique or problematic applications and provide guidance
in selection of proper ESP equipment. Some travel (domestic and international) may be

SUMMARY:
Capable of developing a working knowledge of WGESP equipment (assembly
procedures, installation practices, down hole operation of the system). Must work with a
technical team whose primary focus is performing root cause failure analysis of failed
field equipment. Must be able to evaluate well data, operational data and dismantle
reports to determine cause of failure. From the root cause process must have ability to
develop final report with list of corrective actions and recommendations for
improvement that will extend the run life of the equipment.

SUMMARY:
Understand Structured Problem Solving to identify root causes and be able to effectively
countermeasure these causes. Capable of understanding and supporting the WGESP
Quality System. Must be able to interpret and understand machine/mechanical/electrical
drawings. A working knowledge of material science is also a plus. Become familiar with
metrology as related to gages and instruments and calibration procedures and concepts.
Capable of understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Develop sound
metrics based on quality techniques and statistical measurements to be used to support
continuous process improvements.
