We are introducing a more formal paired reading
session and so I have made these charts. Basically,
it is too enhance fluency and accuracy and my Y's
are managing to help each other with this very
well.
I just stick a peg or 2 on the edge of the card to
point to what I want the reader and listener to focus
on. It is ever so easy to manage and they love
doing it.
I have also stuck them in a PowerPoint, just so I
could display the charts to the whole class by way
of an introduction. They may be useful to
someone. I find the children happily spend 15-20
minutes on this, making it a worthwhile
independent activity in reading now and then.
