Go for mulching in fruit crops and row planted vegetable crops to conserve moisture and control of weeds. 2. Harvest the rainwater in ponds, wells and storage structures. 3. Spray 200litres of spray solution for one acre crop area. Mix sticker 0.5ml/lit of spray solution before spraying in rain forecasted days. Paddy: 1. The crop is at two to four week stage in main field. As widespread rainfall occurred in the district for the last week go for weeding and top dressing in transplanted and direct seeded paddy as moderate rain upto 06.09.2015 . 2. Strengthen the field bunds and close the holes to check seepage loss from paddy field for storing rainwater efficiently. 3. Weed out the field and at three week stage apply 25kg urea in short duration and 35kg urea in medium and long duration varieties. 4. Bacterial Leaf blight infestation noticed in some areas in main field. Spray Steptocycline 0.1g or Plantomycin1.0g per litre of water. 5. At tillering stage stem borer attacks the crop. If the dead heart symptops noticed in the field spray triazophos or monocrotophos or profenophos @2ml/lit of water. Sugarcane: 1. The crop is at grand growth (26-27week) stage. open both end of furrow to drain excess rain water. 2. Top shoot borer attack occurs at this crop stage. If the symptoms occur spray triazophos 2ml/lit water. Also use trichogramma chilonis @20,000per acre. 3. To control red rot disease does not allow free movement of water from infested field to other field. Uproot the infested plant. Spray carbendazim 1.5g/lit of water. 4. Current weather favours the build up of scale insects, whitefly, and Pyrilla population, the most destructive foliage-sucking pest of sugarcane. Spray imidacloprid @1ml/4lit water. Maize: 1. Crop is (six to eight week) cob development to grain formation stage. Drain the crop field. Spray triazophos2ml/lit for control of stem borer attack or apply few amounts of granular insecticide like thimet or Phorate in the whorl. Cotton: 1. Crop is (six to eight week) square formation and flowering stage. Open both ends of the row to drain excess rain water from field. Complete hoeing, weeding and 2nd top dressing followed by earthing up at six week stage. 2. Spray planofix 3.5ml per 15litre of water for better square and flowering at six week stage and 7ml per 15litre water at eight week stage. 3. Sucking pests like aphids and jassids infest the crop during this period. Spray neem oil 3ml/litre of water. If the infestation of sucking pests increase spray imidacloprid 1ml mixing in 4litre water or thiometaxom @5g/15lit water or acephate 2g/lit of water. 4. Spodoptera moth also noticed in field. Fix pheromone trap with spodolure to catch the adult male @2nos per acre. 5. Fix 8nos bird perch per acre for biological control of pests. Sl. The crop is at one to two week stage. Aphids may attack as cloudy weather is there. Spray neem oil 3ml/lit of water. Vegetables: 1. The tomato crop is at two to three week stage in nursery. Animal Science: 1. Goats may suffer from contagious ecthyma and large animals suffer from hump sore. For treatment and care of animals consult Veterinary assistant surgeon. 2.
