Tuesday 9 December. All clubs will resume week beginning Monday 12 January.
Swimming at Wincanton Leisure Centre – we have received notification that the
swimming pool will be closed from 8 December until the middle of January for essential
maintenance. Therefore there will be no further swimming this term.
Christmas Quiz – copies of this entertaining quiz are available in school priced £1.
Christingle Service – a reminder that the Christingle Service will take place in the
Church on Sunday 14 December at 4pm. The Service is a great celebration of the
Christmas Story for all the family and it raises money for the Children’s Society. With
this letter your child has been given a Collecting Candle. Please ask friends and family to
put some coins into the candle, bring the candle to the Service and exchange it for a
Christingle. If you are unable to attend the Service but would like to make a donation to
the Children’s Society please return your candle to the school office by Monday 15
December when it will be added to the Church collection.
Coffee Morning – please join us on Friday 5 December from 10.00 – 12.00 for
refreshments, produce for sale and Christmas Carols.
Christmas Bingo – in the school hall this Saturday 6 December. Doors open 6pm, eyes
down 6.30pm.
Christmas Production – you may have noticed there are some costumes available in the
library now
so please have a look through and take anything that you may need to
make your child’s costume. Please could you send costumes to
school on Monday 8 December in a named carrier bag so that we
can ensure all children have their costume ready for the dress
rehearsal on Tuesday 9 December at 2pm. If you have pre-school
children and would like them to see the play in a less crowded hall we
would love to see you and also anyone unable to attend the evening
performances would be most welcome.
The two evening performances on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 December will begin
at 6.30pm. Please could children be brought to the KS1 classroom between 6 – 6.15pm
in their costumes (these will be sent home after the dress rehearsal) and wearing
plimsolls. The performance will end between 7.30 and 7.45pm so please arrange to
collect your children from the KS1 classroom. The FSA will be holding a raffle at each
performance and refreshments will be available. If anyone would like to donate a
Christmas Raffle prize please leave it in the office.
Christmas Party – the party will take place on Wednesday 17 December. Party clothes
MUST be worn!
