Seniors If groups combined they must ride up a year. Age groups subject to alteration if deemed necessary. TARGET CHALLENGE: Clubs may have two Teams of Four riders. Competition runs over 2 rounds. One (1) Senior may compete in each Club team and scores will count. Teams must be pre-nominated and signed off by Chief Instructor to say they are proficient and competent Target Challenge riders. Nominations will not be accepted without the C.I. signature. No composite teams will be accepted. No composite or alteration of pre nominated teams will be accepted. ALL OTHER CLUBS must supply one steward per three riders to work on the Sunday. Names must be supplied with nominations. RULES: Single rein Bridles only to be used in ALL events One horse one rider, one rider one horse. All riders must be in full Pony Club uniform and be a financial riding member of that Club. Groups of less than seven (7) riders will be combined with adjacent groups. Spectators shall not be allowed on the competition area. No alcohol to be consumed on the grounds. Judges decision is final. All disputes to be reported to the RING STEWARD and must be lodged in writing within 30 minutes of the event accompanied by $50 (non refundable if protest is lost). The Ring Steward will call together a Disputes Committee consisting of one senior delegate from each Club in attendance, except the Club involved with the dispute. The Committee reserves the right to alter groups or events if necessary. All events to be judged as per PCAQ rules unless otherwise stated. Club Chief Instructor must sign off teams for Target Challenge as being proficient riders in that event. Lunch Time Feature Pre nominated (Limited numbers) Open to all riders competing on the day Riders who are nominated in a Team of Four may nominate once only in the Pairs DISCLAIMER: Neither Metropolitan Zone 1, the organizing Committee, Redlands Pony Club nor the PCAQ accept any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to riders, spectators, grounds or any other person or property what so ever. 3 FLAG JUBILEE Objective Competitors to run in heats and remove three flags individually from one cone and place them into a second cone in their appointed lane. Equipment (for 4 lanes) 8 cones measuring 700mm to 1m (before cutting off top) with the opening at the top 100mm. 12 flags, 120mm to 130mm long using 17mm to 19mm pvc with flag attached to top measuring minimum size 200mm height 200mm long. COURSE 4 Lanes Each lane will be 11meters wide Total length 46.5 meters 6 meter line Start line First cone 15-meter line from start line Second cone 35 meter from start line Out of bounds line 5.5 meter from second cone Cones to be placed on 15-meter line and 35 meter line in the centre of the lanes. POISTION OF THE RIDERS All riders waiting behind the 6-meter line until they are called by the steward placed in the hands of the starter. The Game All riders will wait behind the 6-meter line until they are placed in the hands of the starter. The starter will raise the starting flag witch indicates to all riders to cross the 6 meter line at a walk, as so as the starter is confident that all riders have crossed the 6 meter line the starter will drop the flag to indicate the start of the game. The riders will then proceed at a pace comfortable to the rider’s ability down the lane that has been appointed to them by the steward and collect one flag out of the first cone and proceed to the second cone placing the flag into the cone. The riders will then retune to first cone and repeat this procedure until all flags are in the second cone. Once this has been achieved the riders will then proceed back to the start finish line to greet the judge to finish. Eliminations Riders can be eliminated by riding out of there lanes or by dropping a flag, knocking over cones or crossing the start finishing line before the completion of the game.
