Every Other Week Recycling
Program will Begin in April
2013
Beginning in April 2013, Republic Waste will be providing
customers with either a 95 or 65 gallon cart for recycling
materials. The recycling cart will be collected every

other week on a schedule as listed on below link. This 
includes yard waste. Customers will retain their current
95 gallon cart for household waste, which will continue 
to be picked up every week.

On September 17, 2012, the Superior Township Board of
Trustees approved a contract extension with Republic
Waste to provide for the collection of residential solid
waste, yard waste and recycling in the Township. The
contract began on October 1, 2012 and is for five years.
For the first four years of the contract, the rate for their
monthly service will be a decrease from rates charged
during the summer of 2012. Customers will be billed at
the new lower rates beginning with their January 2013
invoice. The January invoice will also include a refund
for the reduced rates which should have been charged
for the 4th quarter of 2012.
