Sub:-Expression of willingness to work in Research, Design and
implementation of sensors for measurement of water levels,
humidity, temperature, moisture etc., in reservoirs and canal
network –Reg

Water regulation is one of the core activities of the Irrigation & CAD
department. Managing water regulation through the vast canal network under
various projects/reservoirs is always a challenging task. The Irrigation & CAD Dept
has taken up the task of enhancing the CNFMS (Canal Network Monitoring
System) for evaluation of water utilization/ water efficiency in all the projects.
One WUA in Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal is identified for pilot
implementation of CNFMS under ClimaAdapt Project funded by
the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Norwegian Embassy in
Delhi. As part of this programme WALAMTARI has taken up an initiative of
developing the sensors required for measurement water levels in reservoirs and
canals, moisture content in soil, temperature and humidity etc, duly integrating
them with GSM modems and GPS systems for transmitting the data automatically
to the CNFMS central server at periodic intervals.
As part of the capacity building measures in Irrigation & CAD Dept with
respect to implementing and maintaining the sensors for recording water level
and various parameters required for water regulation, expression of interest is
called-for from Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers working in Irrigation &
CAD Dept who have zeal in research and development of equipment/instruments
required for water regulation.
In view of the above, a service for submitting expression of interest has
been enabled in the irrigation HRMS website in the employee login. All the
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers can login to the system and exercise
their option. Last date for exercising option is 20-07-2014. Shortlisted candidates
will be called for interview for final selection.
