Fibers and papers consisting of:
 Newsprint, old corrugated cardboard (OCC)
 Magazines, catalogues, Soft covered books
 Hard covered books without covers
 Box Board, Cereal Boxes, Tissue Boxes
 Paper towel tubes, Toothpaste boxes
 Printer/Copier paper, Junk Mail
You may bundle & tie this material instead of
bagging it – but it must not be larger than 4 ft.
sq. and may weigh no more than 40 lbs.
(It must be tight, if it is loose it won’t be picked up) If
bagging this material, please be sure to tie bag loosely or
use a clear bag so it can be identified as paper when being
picked up.

purchase only at the Municipal Office, 30
Bedford Street, Westport.

Bags must not weigh more than 40lbs. There
is a 4 bag limit per household.
Christmas Tree Pickup:
Christmas trees may be set out at curb
for pickup after January 1st, 2015.
Municipal Information:
Fire Permits: Required for all incinerator
or open burning. Dog tags: Required for all
dogs over 6 months old. Available at the
Municipal Office. Rideau St. Lawrence
utilities payments & account changes can also
be made at the Municipal Office.

Depot Day: July 18th from 8 am and 3 pm

fluids

 Prescription medicine, needles/syringes

FREE ELECTRONIC RECYCLING
(YEAR- ROUND AT LANDFILL SITE)
Electronic waste may be taken to the landfill site
during regular dump hours, year-round.
Portland Landfill Site – 4427H Old Kingston
Rd, Portland. Hours: Wednesday & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents using the
Portland Site directly will pay by weight for
disposal ($0.09/lb; $10 minimum). Scrap steel is
free. Brush is $21.00/half ton truck load. Pay by
Debit/Credit/Cash. Rates may change in 2015.
