Post-translational modification of a mammalian chaperone – 6
month project
We are seeking a PhD level scientist with experience in protein chemistry and protein
purification to complete an on-going line of research aimed at identifying posttranslational modifications of a mammalian chaperone.
Your task will be to purify the protein of interest from recombinant and endogenous
sources and develop digestion and separation methods geared towards identifying
post-translational modifcations.
Proven skills in recombinant DNA technology, protein expression in bacteria and
chromatographic separation of proteins are a must. Experience in mass spectrometry
and in working with membranes is a significant advantage as is a publication record
in these areas.
The project is expected to be completed in a six month period
