TEXAS REVOLUTION COMIC STRIP
Create a comic strip depicting and telling the story of the Texas Revolution.

Illustrate and summarize eight (8) different events or topics from the Texas Revolution listed below.

2. Before you start the comic strip, you must create a TIMELINE that has the dates for ALL of the events listed
above in chronological order (must include Month and day[s] if available).
 You will see the template for that on the bottom of this sheet.
3. Start your Comic Strip Summaries
 Take out a clean sheet of paper and start writing summaries for each event.
 The summary should be between 2 and 4 sentences (no more than 4… no less than 2)
 DO NOT COPY FROM THE BOOK
 You MUST get your summaries approved and initialed BEFORE you get the template for your
comic strip.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
 The Comic Strip as a whole must have a title AND each frame should be labeled or have a title
 Each illustration must be neatly drawn and colored and be historically accurate
 Each box should be completely colored (no white space)
 Each summary of these events must include the important facts for that event, be historically accurate
and written in coherent, complete sentence
 The events should be chronological
 Please write the summaries NEATLY using ink OR type them

Summaries contain the important facts – who, what, when, where and why
Events are in chronological order, and there is a TRANSITION from frame to frame
Strip is easy to read and understand - proper spelling, capitalization and punctuation are used
Comic strip is a high quality piece of work that shows thought, care, creativity and effort
